1. Excellent review! I cannot wait to watch. That cast includes some of my other favorites besides Bill, Fredric March for one! But while on the subject of Mad Men, I always thought Jon Hamm resembled Walter Pidgeon.

  2. Love the Mad Men scale! It can be invoked so often these days. Haven’t seen this movie in years — since I was a kid and too young to really understand what I was watching. I remember being touched by Stanwyck, though, and her “bad habit of getting caught looking suicidal.” This post makes me want to see Executive Suite again.

      It’s a terrific film. Bill Holden was definitely king of the 1950s. I don’t think any actor had a better career in that decade than him.
